About Dr. Eldokla
The Medical Director, Ahmed Eldokla MD, FAAN, is american board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and American Board of Neuromuscular Medicine. He is certified in the subspecialty of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG & NCS) by American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). He is certified in Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). He is also certified in Autonomic Disorders by UCNS.
- Dr. Eldokla is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN), a title granted to Americain Academy of Neurology physicians’ members that recognizes special achievement in the neurosciences, the clinical practice of neurology, or academic neurology. He is an active member of American Autonomic Society (AAS).
- Dr. Eldokla completed his fellowship in neuromuscular medicine, electromyography (EMG), and pathology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, one of the leading academic centers in the nation for neuromuscular medicine. He then joined the University of Pittsburgh as an Assistant Professor of Neurology. Before founding the NY Neuromuscular Healthcare, Dr Eldokla served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology, and Director of the Neuromuscular Division and Autonomic Laboratory at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
- Dr. Eldokla co-authored several book chapters, published many papers in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at local, national, and international neurology and autonomic meetings.
- Dr. Eldokla believes that the right diagnosis is the key to treating any neurological disease. The correct diagnosis requires clinical expertise and advanced diagnostic tools and testing.
